GED Preparation Classes
Certified teachers assist students to attain a GED
high school diploma equivalency in small classes or one-on-one
tutoring. Breakfast is provided daily, Monday through
Thursday. Day classes are offered daily and evening classes are
offered Tuesday and Thursday from 5 - 7:30 pm.

Who can enroll in the GED program?
Students who don't have a high school diploma can earn a GED high
school diploma. The GED program is for students16 years and
older. Students must be at least 17 years old to take the GED
test.
How do I sign up for the GED program? All new
students need to make an appointment at the Adult Education Center to
complete the student enrollment forms and orientation before starting
classes.
How will my classes be determined?
Before you attend school, you will complete an educational overview.
Our Student Support Coordinator will meet with you and ask questions
about your school experience, how you learn best and what you think you
need to study. We'll use this information along with your interests
as a guide for the best 4-week mini courses to enroll you in at the
Center. Students work with teachers or tutors in small classes and
one-on-one.
How much does the GED program cost? The
GED program costs $20 for all the prep classes and for practice tests
necessary to take the GED test.
Can I go to college with a GED? Yes!
More than 95% of colleges accept the GED.
How much does the GED test cost? Each
of the 5 subtests costs $20 for a total of $100. Subtests can be
taken one at a time or all at once.
