Spellebration

An annual fundraiser during Snowdown. The one and only spelling showdown of Snowdown that has been taking place for the last 15 years. Teams of 3 compete in a lively adult spelling bee to claim title to the “Ultimate spellers of Durango” and raise funds to support adult literacy. Prizes awarded to teams & audience members. Great fun family event!

Graduation

Please join us in celebrating the hard word and achievements of our GED graduates in this bi-annual graduation ceremony. Family and friends are encouraged to attend the commencement ceremony and partake in cake and punch afterwards.

Coffee Festival

An annual fundraiser that takes place on 8th Street between Main and the R.R. tracks on the 2nd Saturday in September. The Coffee Festival is the revelry of the coffee bean and an opportunity for the public to sample aromatic coffees, teas and specialty drinks from numerous coffee shops and raise awareness and funds for the Durango Adult Education Center. The one-day fully caffeinated event will feature drinks, food and live entertainment for the entire family. Local vendors will offer numerous specialty coffee drinks, drip coffee, coffee cocktail drinks and coffee inspired foods to complement the energetic, up beat event.
