	Affordable Continuing Education Classes Educational Programs GED The GED (General Educational Development) test is a nationally recognized certificate that is awarded in Colorado as a High School Equivalency. It is usually accepted by colleges and universities as a High School Diploma, although different schools require different total scores, as they do with requiring minimum high school grade point averages. A registration fee of $20 is requested upon enrollment, and is applied towards the GED testing fees after 12 hours of instruction. GED instruction will end in June, and resume in September following the regular 9-R School District schedule. ABE Through Adult Basic Education we provide assistance to adults needing improvement in basic skills such as math, writing, reading, or workplace skills. Some of our students are high school graduates, and we often assist former students who have gone on to college. ABE schedules also follow the 9-R format, and classes will begin following the summer break. ESOL We offer English as a second language on Monday through Thursday for adults who are learning English. We can help novice to advanced English speakers, for a registration fee of $20. The summer session of ESOL is June through July from 5-8 in the evenings at the Adult Education Center, for a fee of $5. En El Centro De Educaciòn para Adultos de Durango (Durango Adult Education Center) le ofrecemos màs clases de inglès por la cuesta de viente dolares ($20); estudiantes de todos los niveles acadèmicos son bienvenidos. Tenemos horaios los lunes, y miècoles de 10:00 am a 12:00 pm y en las tardes de 6:00 pm a 8:00 pm y tambièn contamos con el cuidado sus niños mientras usted estudia. La cuesta por las clases en el verano es cinco dolares ($5). Las clases regulares seran recomenzar en el septiembre. Reading Specialized reading classes are available in the morning using Lindamood-Bell multi-sensory methods. LMB reading instruction will resume in September. Parent Coaching Patsy Ey uses the Parent as Teachers curriculum to coach young parents. Come and learn activities to help your children develop, problem-solve, and have fun! Childcare is also provided during regular class times for our students, and these services will resume in September in accordance with the AEC class schedule.
