Durango Adult Education Center!
The Durango
Adult Education Center is an independent, non-profit
organization that has been dedicated to
providing educational resources for adults,
seniors and youth in the Durango area for 26
years. Through fundraising, grants and
partnerships with other organizations, we
are able to provide affordable educational
services to our community.
GED,
ESOL, and tutoring are offered for a
$20 registration fee. Community
Education classes are available for an
affordable enrollment fee. If you
want to brush up on a few subjects, learn to
speak a new language, learn computer skills,
or earn your GED, feel free to contact us or
stop by the Center. We are located on the
3rd floor of the Commons building, next to
Albertsons.

The mission of the Durango Adult Education Center, as a caring learning community, is to fill educational gaps
by equipping adults, children, and families with the skills and knowledge
necessary for 21st century careers, post-secondary education, and social and economic mobility.

- Customer service skills and experience: You will be interacting with students, teachers, and volunteers on a daily basis. Your support is key to our students’ success

- Excellent computer skills and experience: Word, Outlook, and databases are used regularly
- Flexibility: We make ourselves available to assist with student and organization needs as they arise. This may involve shifting ones priorities on a daily basis
